Clawfoot Bathtubs – A luxurious Way to Take a
Bath
By Odale Lively
The aesthetic beauty, elegance, and practical functionality of clawfoot bathtubs are well
worth the extra price you may have to pay for it. In this short article, I recall my experience when I
first saw a clawfoot bathtub at my local home improvement store.
I was at my local home improvement superstore recently, when I came across a
vintage style clawfoot bath tub.
I had never seen one before, or at least never paid attention to it. I thought it looked
really cool, and admired the curvy – almost sexy - lines of the deep tub enclosure. I also like the
looks of the clawfoot tub faucet that was attached to the tub. Very cool!
I put it on my wish list...
Although the price of the tub was somewhat out of my price range for now, I decided I
would put it on my “wish list” of things I want to install when I remodel my bathroom in a couple of years.
I talked to a salesman about it, and she told me that these types of bathtubs are quite popular these days in new
home construction as well as in home remodeling projects. She admitted that although they are pricier than
the standard modern bathtub, the higher price did not seem to deter people from buying it.
She went on to say that many people felt that the aesthetic beauty, and practical
functionality of these tubs was well worth the price they had to pay for it.
I think I agree. So, I will be getting one soon.
It's on my wish list now, and I really do want one. I will be buying a clawfoot
bathtub for myself in the not too distant future.
